So... I might get my first job

Ahtna, Inc (a contractor for Alyeska Pipeline) in my town is hiring 6 labourers (unskilled labour), starting at $24/hr. 12/hrs a day for 5 days/wk, and working on Saturdays are optional (12hrs, earning time and a half OT wage).

Such jobs do exist.

My first job out of highschool was laying concrete in the summer making jack squat.

I got that for coding. Boo. The guy who got me into the job and his manager (my manager also) were joking how I'm totally underpaid because the other intern was doing stuff like entering resumes into a database while I was messing with code and building systems... Oh well. I worked my butt off (at least 45+ hours a week) to make up for the low pay so I built my kicking @$$ system that gets demolished by a Core 2 Duo today =(
