Scott Ian

I was at a Comic Land shop, and in walks Anthrax! I was like... Hmmm.... that looks a lot like the Anthrax dude (the gotee). Then I noticed that 2 of them were wearing Anthrax shirts. I also remembered passing the Alrosa Villa on the way over there and saw a sign that said "Anthrax tonight".

Sooo..... I walked up to him and asked if they were Anthrax. He just started laughing. I was like, sh!t..... he's not. THen he said yeah, that they were playin at the Alrosa in a few hours and wanted to get some comics to read before hand... hahaha.

So, I ran out and got my Best of Anthrax CD out of my car (w00000t! for keeping my CDs in my car), and I had him sign it. And that was about it.... I didn't want to hound him with questions or anything, so I just left. :D

Yeah, that was my excitement for the night.

Scott's the guitar player, although he did sing a couple of tunes on Attack of the Killer B's.

Scott's pretty much the frontman. He writes the songs, etc.

In everything I've ever seen him do he's always seemed like a cool guy. Was he pretty cool about the whole thing or did he seem like you were bothering him?

It's kinda gay that they were wearing Anthrax shirts though

I'm sorry.

Why? Anthrax is awesome.

And I am not sure if the two dudes that were wearing the shirts were actually in Anthrax, or if they were just some guys with them...

He seemed pretty cool about it. I think I was the only person that recognized him :D

So has meeting a 'celebrity' like boosted your self-esteem or something? Did some kind of karma rub-off on you that some how makes you more cool or important?

Just trying to figure out why people bubble and coo over celebrities. I've met dozens of famous people and never felt the need to even get an autograph or picture, much less run back and tell a bunch of people.

What do people do with those pictures, anyway? Do they go back to their friends and say "See? I'm somebody now, cuz I was within 200 feet of a famous person?"

I find the whole spectacle of celebrity worship fascinating.

If you saw President Bush in person, walking around in a Comic Shop by himself, without security.... would you want to talk to him, or get his autograph?

And yet thought-provoking!

Seriously, why do people giggle and pee all over themselves over celebrities. I don't get it. Really.

lol, you just said that something you said was thought-provoking...regardless or whether or not it is/isn't, who actually says that? "Isn't what I just said the coolest!?"

hehe.

(trying to figure out better wording for that first statement...not working. it's late.)

I would want to get his autograph....on an Executive Order making me an official tester of new military gadgets and hardware.

if you have 3 boxes of t-shirts in the garage and hadn't done your laundry in 2 weeks, you might just grab one in a pinch
