Me too.

It's like someone recorded their own audio when they were playing it on web somewhere to turn it into an MP3.

It's actually quite easy to record your audio, you just change your recording options to stereo mix instead of mic and voila, good to go. I've used this before for a couple of songs from myspace bands in the UK that have like a 3-song EP that would cost me more money for 1 than it would if I bought 3-4 LPs in the US. Sound quality isn't that good in comparison to 256 or 320, but most people won't know the difference.

Some programs like mIRC will ding like IM if a buffer window is scrolled up. You should check any programs that have scrolling buffers.

wow, this thread took off more than I expected. I thought it might have been gmail IM but no one IMd me :)(). I wasn't listening to warez music, I wasn't on mIRC, and hopefully I don't have a tumor.

Maybe I'm just going crazy?

PS. I used ICQ extensively back in the day to keep up with my fantasy baseball league and negotiate trades. The "rename" feature was extraordinarily helpful. I also had that "uh-oh" tattooed in my brain. I think my number was 26615730. Thats off the top of my head, I haven't used ICQ since 1999.

Same fucking shit happens to me,
I think it has something to do with the new AIM,
I'm sure you have the new AIM installed.
It has been happening for the past few days.
I was amazed to see someone having the same problem.
