And it is horrible. My memory usage on my SGS3 shot up to 95%. Uninstalled.
I can see the draw, but it is a massive resource hog.
Yep, US.Do you have the US version of the SGS3? Because as a 2GB phone, any single app using that much RAM is insane.
I've read several similar reports saying it's basically incomplete garbage right now. Given FB's mobile app development, this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
Can an app even use 95% of your memory? Aren't there memory limits in Android? I call shens.
here's what I got:

hate crap like this... fragmentation.
You should get an iPhone or windows phone and install it on that.![]()
That's besides the point. My point was that this is ridiculous. Why does this need to be "US only" and also limited to a few devices. Apps should just be rolled out across the board. But maybe they're trying to control the experience and making sure it's a uniform experience as it gets rolled out rather than having the app crash on some phone that's not used in the US cuz they couldn't bother to test it out first.
I installed it on my Note II to give it a try. I'll hang with it for a bit, but it's definitely simplistic. I do like the notifications cascading down the "lock screen" and I like that I don't have a lock screen.
App management is kind of stupid, though. It'd be nice if it just went to the standard app drawer when I move my dot to the Apps shortcut.
I'm sure if you turn down the outrage and turn up the thinking you might get closer to some answers.
Holy shit. After I installed it and started using it, my phone got extremely hot. -_- must be pushing my CPU to 1.2ghx.
