So i just started listening to "Phish"

I hate bands like Phish. I'm sure their music is fine but the masses of unshowered treelovers that follow them from place to place annoy the hell out of me.

While they are going to break up...they aren't officially broken up at this time. They are completing their last summer tour this summer. Most of the shows are taking place in the North East. The last show is in Conventry, VT...it is a weekend concert. I happened to get a ticket right before they announced they broke up...now it is nearly impossible...but I would try if you really want to go to something outrageous.

Other bands that I think are great....in a similar vein to Phish:

Widespread Panic (at times I like them even more than Phish)
Grateful Dead
Left Over Salmon
String Cheese Incident
Hot Tuna

While the Phish CDs are decent, the best stuff is their live music. You can find it legally free all over the internet as well as purchasable (is this a word?) CDs of some live performances.
