It was in Superman II

Superman II was the one with the three criminals from Krypton. You're thinking of the first Superman movie, I think.

What I couldn't get was how did Superman get to Krypton? Spaceship? Is that the thing that crashed? It looked like an asteroid. like he hitched a ride on an asteroid. Because he can't fly there. Once he leaves Earth's solarsystem he loses his powers from the Sun.

Pretty sure he was in some sort of craft, not really sure though.

The people that would be really dying to buy a house on lex island would be people in the united states displaced by the flood. Of course, they'd all be dead...completely defeating the purpose. And for all the other technology those crystals were suppose to have, I didn't see them do anything.

edit: I would have liked to have seen a play on the modern lex luthor and his being president of the us.

For all the talk of the "crystal technology" and everything it could do, the movie seemed to show Lex couldn't do anything with it besides make bizarrely shaped jagged crystal islands. I suppose the machine in the beginning could have told him more...but lex being lex, you'd think he would have built some weapons out of them.

In most of his comic incarnations, actually I think it's all of them but I'll say most to be safe, he doesn't immediately lose his powers by leaving a yellow star's light. He has to either be hit by red starlight or kryptonite to drain. How quickly exertion and simply flying will drain him depends on the era. He'd be fairly screwed once he hit Krypton, but was probably fine through the trip.

So I'd assume he flew unless they have a shot of him complaining about the acceleration in his ship.

"0 to 600000 in 4.3 seconds, my ass!"

Hollywood writers are dumb. I mean they're creative and all, but just dumb. The plot doesn't make any sense. Lex Luthor in search of money decides to create his own land by destroying the US. What he doesn't understand is that in the current global economy, currency is fiat currency, meaning it's only as good as the economy it's based on. So by destroying the US, you can't just sell barron wasteland and become a bazillionaire; you'll just be holding worthless rock. Oh and I love how they destory all of America except the west coast .

yea yea, it's a movie, but at least make it believable or make a little bit of sense.

edit: also, why didn't he just spin backwards and reverse the shvt lex caused like in superman 1?

Lex Luthor is nuts.

That is what I thought too, in the original it was explained he gained his powers as he left Krypton and passed through the other solar systems finally gaining full strentgh from our sun.
