Driving my A2, was exiting highway onto a ramp much faster than I should have been. Big fat muffler in the road. Try and pull a nice little "finnish flick" Bad idea in an A2, especially with darned ESP turned on. Well ended up nicely hanging by my belt, it was all very quick and sort of fun in a way, but I am quite shaken up! Never been in a wreck before, just spun many a time. Fortunatly the car isnt very damaged! Wow I am nervous!

Well considering, the left front wheel is chewed up, the head curtain went off, and one if the top panels is all scrachted up.

LOL, yeah me too... I thought they exploded in mid-air, right before they crashed into the truck delivering 5 gallon water cannisters.

If you haven't sicked your lawyers on that muffler by now, you can probably feel your chances at a lawsuit slipping away minute by minute. Quick, grab a camera and take pictures of that dastardly muffler. And you say it was a big, fat one so you know it's got $$$. 😉
 
I heard that once a car is rolled its basically a write-off.....somehow screws up the engine?

I may be wrong, but it happened to a friend on icy roads, driving very slowy, like 15mph slowly......his car slid and hit the curb side on.
Rolled it on its roof. The insurance company wrote it off.

NOt necessarily. I had a friend roll his jeep, but he still drives it today.. The reason they are usually totaled is that the roof/frame no longer has any structural integrity to rebuild. It is bad for the engine to run upside down, but not always "deadly".

I'm happy to hear that you're OK. I wouldn't be typing this right now if it werent' for my seatbelt that saved my life back in 1994. I won't drive across the street w/o a belt on. I even wear it if I'm a backseat passenger.

Glad you're OK...put some training wheels on the rollerskate you drive, OK? 😉

Rolled one of These
2.5 times then skidded on the roof a few hundred yards down a hill. You can't help but laugh because
of the freakiness of it all.

No snow here fortunatly, but nah "Jessica" isnt coming out for a while too cold, so I will probaly borrow my sisters A3 🙂

In all my years as a medic dealing with rollovers, people either walk away with minor injuries, or they are hurt really badly (or worse)

You just missed my seatbelt poll, probably still on the first page here somewhere...
