You failed.

But officer I am only going 10mph over the limit....

Only you could blow things so out of proportion that a library book being returned 15 minutes late is now on the same level as dangerous driving practices.

You missed the point (yet again, but that's typical).

There are limits. He was given PLENTY of time to get it back...being 15mins past was a line he chose to cross. Other's could be waiting for that book esp around exam time.

And once again you, trying to sound like a tough guy, fail to see that while it may inconvenience someone else, 15 minutes is entirely excusable and in a world where people have a sense of class, courtesy, and a bit of compassion (which you are clearly unfamiliar with) then they could overlook really minor things like this.

If someone's college plan revolves around the expectation that a book from the library will be back at an exact time and 15 minutes can throw this plan entirely off, then the book being back 15 minutes late really isn't the problem.

Regardless, the possible outcomes of someone driving 10mph over the speed limit and someone returning a book 15 minutes late are so far apart that no matter what asinine world you think this is that is a completely ridiculous comparison.

WTF is everyone claiming I am being a 'tough guy'...must be a bunch of pansies.

15 mins could also mean the difference for the guy waiting next in line for it to miss the window he had. Usually time windows are put on books in HIGH demand...however; I don't think you have had ANY kind of class at that level.

Seriously do you even have any degree?

I graduated from college in May 2007 and I still have about 12 library books checked out. I have like a $600 fine on my bursar account, but I already have my diploma.

1. You'll never be able to get your transcripts until its paid.
2. They'll start adding late fees.
3. They WILL turn it over to collections.
4. Collections will add even more late fees
5. Is it worth it to ruin your credit over 12 library books?

I just noticed you said, you graduate in 2007. Its probably already progressed to being sent to collections. Have fun with that. At this point it wont matter if you turn the books in or not.
