So I just had a p'zone.....

Decided to try something new today, man am I disappointed.
Doesnt nearly taste half as good as it looks. It was filled up with dry chesse and nowhere as good as a regular pepperoni pizza.
it was the pepperoni version. shoulda ordered something that i knew instead of being experimental.
Heck the breaksticks was a lot better 🙂

When I tried one it was pretty tasty, but on the expensive side for how much you actually get. Too much bread for my tastes.

Man, I haven't had one, but I want to strangle Tommy Davidson and send him back to Keenan and In Living Color in a bodybag. The damn commercials piss me off.

The guy's annoying in those commercials, but pretty cool in person. My wife and I saw him at a local Famous Daves about a month ago. He seemed nice enough... signing autographs, letting people take his picture, etc. Funny how people act, though, even around small-time celebrities...

I bet it would be a lot better if Pizza Hut didn't make it. Try a calzone from a real pizza joint that uses things like REAL cheese, olive oil, and higher quality meat and veggies.

I tried one it tasted like greasy cardboard stuffed with bad beef jerky and tomato paste. I?d rather go to the local pizza place and get one twice as big and 2000% better tasting, cheaper too. 😀

I've tried all three, and out of ten, i scored the three types as:

Peperroni - 4/10 -- not very good
Meat lovers - 6/10 -- decent
Classic - 8/10 -- this was actually pretty good, i'd recommend this one if you were to buy a p'zone.

<< regular calzones at the local pizzarria are always the best......chewy, cheezy and greasy >>

yup, they are selling calzones at my school that are really good. bread is fresh and the cheese/sauce/pepperoni is really good. though i hate that its expensive, $3.00.

<< It doesn't have pizza sauce in it. Dry yucky nasty sh!t. Stick to their regular pizzas. >>

It comes with a pretty decent side of marinara sauce.

I kind of like them. Definitely not as good as a "real" calzone, but I think it's tasty. I like the Meat Lovers one...

I'm with you

<< Garfang, your post implies that Pizza Hut doesn't use real cheese...are you sure about that?? >>

I don't know for sure. I've heard that they've messed around with phony cheese in the past to keep profit margins higher. Whatever they used on the last pizza I tried from them was not very good at all. That was probably over a year ago though. I know good cheese from cheap cheese though. The big chains in my area have got nothing on the cheese and other ingredients that Pizza Lucé, Leaning Tower of Pizza, or Uptown Pizza uses. The phrase used in Papa John?s advertising does ring true, but they?ve got me buying pizza from someone else, and it ain?t Domino?s or Pizza Hut.

"The phrase used in Papa John?s advertising does ring true"

Papa John's sucks. There really isn't a better deal than the good local pizza place, but those don't exist everywhere and sometimes you don't feel like experimenting with the ones that are around. My whole last semester of school I think I survived on this pizza deal from the place down town. It was $9.50 for an 18" pie and a 2 liter coke, oh the gluttony of it all. 😉

Pizza Hut does use real cheese and quality vegetables it is usually the crust where they lack.

I like the P'zone so I will eat it again.
