Justified although I disagree with the rule

From Hardforum rules: " (23) Any discussion of AD BLOCKING software or instruction for using ad blocking regarding this forum or any other discussion in general of attempting to block advertisement will result in a no questions asked permanent ban on your account."

yeah, it's cause they rely on the ads for so much of their revenue, i think.

still, that's an utterly retarded thing to do. it's not like ad-blocking is illegal

Wow. ATOT's forum rules seem pretty tame in comparison to that. Cheers to the mods! :)

Considering there were about 6 posts on the first page about how it was not okay to post that, and then you went ahead and did anyways, then didn't edit it when others suggested you did, then yeah, it's justified. Stupid perhaps, but nobody to blame but yourself.

never knew that rule existed. i agree, its completely retarded because ads, while for revenue, are obstrusive and blocking them is completely legal.

I don't care if anyone adblocks, but

I don't see the justfying people are doing just because it isn't illegal ...

Forums are not public space.
They are privately owned.
Private businesses can refuse service for any reason they want to.
