Oh, I wasnt talking about Netsky and variants. It just seems like the GOOD virus writers and few and far between, and most ismply rehash whats out there.

anyway, according to Mcafee's online scan, it is the W32/Netsky.z@MM virus.

I guess 2 things are possible:

1. He sent the email himself (as the email came from his hotmail address, which I doubt the virus can get to)

2. He infected his own machine (if he was using outlook to get/send his hotmail messages)

What do you guys think?

Now that you've posted on AT about having his IP, I wouldn't do anything malicious. Things have a way of getting back around to authorities.
