Is I.T. a waste if they can't fix a network printer or connect a laptop to wifi?

Actually the users fixed it, they submitted the same print job so many times that the pressure built up to a point that the printer had to print all the jobs. At least that seems to be the logic when they send the same print job 4 more times when it doesn't print the 1st time.

when the tubes are clogged, you just push more stuff through the tubes to dislodge the clog.

duh.

I wonder if there's a HP 3600 on the network. Those printers come straight from hell and will wreck havoc on the print server. Man I HATED those when I worked in IT. You just look at it wrong, and the print spooler crashes. :awe:

Get a ticket to change/add a tray, and that was pretty much a day's work because everytime you open the property page or do anything it just takes down the whole print server. Man those were so terrible. I would imagine that HP fixed their drivers by now though, at least I would hope so.

Staff said IT came over and said they were working on the problem (new network)

So i walk over to the printer, disconnect the cat5 cable, unplug the power.

After i plug everything back in, all the days stuff comes spitting out

Im surrounded by fucking idiots
who exactly cares if the IT peeps are not competent?
So how does this affect any of us??
Anybody can disconnect the cat5 cable, unplug the power......and then plug back in..lolol

Last few days before I dumped my job.. They changed the servers for all the network printers.

The notice was sent out a few days in a standard IT alert that goes out about once a day a lot of people ignore. Local IT had fun that day...
