Question as a side comment: I just got an offer for textmyorder.com that is significantly more than what I paid for it (though no big deal). I always thought this name would be cool to develop into a website where services could allow orders to them (pizza places, etc.) to be "texted" via SMS. People create accounts, then they can text a specific email address to order a pizza, and voila, the pizza is ordered - all via text message.

While I think this was always a good idea, I'm not too sure if it could ever be developed by anything that wasn't already an online food ordering site.

What do you guys and gals think?

Or you can call them since you're already on the phone.

I think if you're not going to do anything with it, you should sell it while you still can.
"voila"
And I think it would work better with a catchy name, anyway.

I think you missed the boat on this idea.

Order Pizza by Text Message

Would it be worth it to attempt to sell the name to pizza hut?

If you do that, it's considered domain squatting, they can take your domain from you (Legally). Never offer a domain. Let the buyers come to you.

It may be worth it to put up a forsale page on the domain...

Not in this case. I doubt it would be considered squatting because the terms are so generic. It isn't like I own bp.com and offer it to BP.

I'm not so sure... I've heard some crazy stories over at dnforum.com.

make sure you find out what company is trying to buy your domain. i would definitely try to negotiate warrants or options if it's a corporate venture. you don't want to sell that domain for $500 only to find out 3 months later it's a $100 million startup. I'm not saying sell it for $100k but I would negotiate and feel them out and see if they are open to giving up any equity.
