So I had to get a new cell phone today...

Went from my Old ATT TDMA Nokia 6160 to the new ATT GSM Motorola V505.

So far so kool, but i hate the freaking display going dark (backlight) when i least want it too.. oh well.

My old phone started to die every time i shook the phone. It would turn off.Plus it was dropping calls randomly and not connecting etc etc.

So i went to ATT store and asked them if they got a replacement TDMA phone that i can buy outright. Well lets say economics class came in real handy.

No use paying for an older network new phone when i can get on a new phone on a new network with more features for a bit more.

So that's what I did.

Now to get someone who owes me $188.50 to pay up.. i am low on funds. You know who you are, your on the forum.

isn't there a setting on the v505 that lets you keep your backlight on for as long as you want? on my v600 (next gen) you can choose from 20 sec, 40 sec, 60 sec, and always on.

Of course, I don't know why'd you be looking at a blank screen without pressing any buttons for more than a minute, but thas jus' me.
