Iv had alcohol before but never a beer fan
the beer iv had before was a small glass or something but never a bottle
I guess because the beer kinda tasted bad

So the Samuel Adams definitely taste's better then the Bud Light, I don't think I will ever have Bud Light again I really didnt like the bitterness

What kind of Sam Adams? Sam Adams light? I recommend starting light and working your way up. My favorites occurred in this order:

Corona
Amstel Light
Heineken
Sam Adams Brown Ale <-- Currently still my non-seasonal favorite
Sam Adams Oktoberfest

Molson XXX is also thrown in there somewhere too... probably between Amstel Light and Heineken.

Edit: How could I have forgotten... Sam Adams Oktoberfest is absolutely brilliant, I prefer it even more than Brown Ale

What variety of Sam Adams did you have? There are multiple SA beers out, if you liked that then keep trying the different brews. Bud Light is pretty much piss beer, the cheap stuff. I suggest going with a Wheat style ale, like a Blue Moon. They go well with citrus (orange or lemon) and are easy for beginners.

Molson XXX? Really? That stuff is what the hobos in Canada drink because it's got the extra alcohol. Either that or Labatt Wildcat. The stuff is piss.

I don't think it tastes bad.

I'm a fan of New Castle, but just the other day I had some kick ass Philippino beer called Red Horse. 7.5% and it was pretty tasty too.. well as tasty as beer can be really.

I forget to says it but, Beer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy 🙂

I don't know if you can get them out there, but see if you can find a Mirror Pond Pale Ale. It's straight nectar of the gods.

Even I hate that stuff, usually I'll drink any beer.

If you thought Bud Light was bitter I suggest you stop drinking beer and stick with Fuzzy Navels. You're not going to find anything less bitter than an American commercial brewery light beer.

Ben Franklin.

And if you were truly an active fan of Newcastle you'd instinctively know it's all one word, because of the many times you would have seen the damn label. 😉

Except maybe a Corona with a Lime in it, IMHO that's pretty damn easy to drink.

You should try a sweeter style beer if you do not like the bitter taste. A good one I like is Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat.

What the OP's calling "bitter" is simply the industrial chemical aftertaste that people who regularly drink that swill have long ago blocked from what passes for their consciousness.

my favorite is Sam Adam's Oktoberfest, but Boston Lager isnt half bad. I also like Newcastle brown ale and Fat Tire.

i'd say that SA Oktoberfest is by far my favorite for just casually drinking while watching TV or hanging with buddies. Too bad its not october anymore.

well im no connoisseur...but as a poor collage student I drink what ever is free or cheap

actually I find I drink a lot of Lucky and Boxer...you can get it cheaper than $1 per can sometimes

But my staple beer is pilsener and kokanee

You can find almost any beer for under a dollar a bottle if you buy enough bottles...like 24 or 30, even 12 sometimes

My favorite beer when on a budget is Miller Lite.

When I can splurge a lil' bit, then I'll get me some Bell's Oberon, Blue Moon, Sam Adams Winter Lager and a few others.
