I am getting my MBA, and I am looking for a full time internship for the summer, and maybe a part time one during the school year.

Anyway, I had an interview for a position I would really enjoy, at a great company. I was interviewed by 4 different people. 2 of the interviews went really well, another one also turned out well, and the last one was ok, but could have been better.

So, about a week later, they email some paper work to fill out and fax back to them. Background check stuff mostly. Needless to say I faxed it back the next day. On Friday it will have been a week since I faxed the stuff back. Now, assuming I would have remember if I had killed someone, my background check should be fine, I have not even gotten a traffic ticket yet.

What does everyone think my chances are for getting the job? And how long should I give them before I call to see whats up?

Background checks can take awhile depending on which companies they use, and especially if you lived out of the state for a decent amount of time. My NYS background check was fine, but it took Maryland awhile to get the stuff together to send to the company doing my BG check (almost a week and a half).

Ah, well I have lived in a number of other States, but that was mostly when I was growing up.

I do think the fact that they asked me to sign for a background check is a good sign though. At least that means I am still in the running.

Does anyone know what kind of stuff they check for on a background check?

Like maybe if I went to the college I said I did and that sort of thing?
