So I guess my TV is shot?

My Panasonic TH-50PX600U displays bluish fuzzy blotches all over the middle of the screen when shades of white, like a snow scene, are on the screen. I connected my laptop and displayed a white screen and it looks like this.

It also shows some burn-in of the stupid network logos on the bottom left and right. I assume the TV is shot and I need a new one.

I am hesitant to get another plasma but from what I am reading it is still the best choice for picture quality. Thinking about getting a Panasonic TC-P60VT60. Or should I be looking at something else?

Edit: meant to put this in audio/video, can a mod please move?

go samsung jack, and you will never look back ..... 🙂

been there done that, been a happy camper for over 2 yrs now.....

Plasmas have their own set of problems, including screen burn-in, weight and heat... I think I would try something else.

The new plasmas are much better at all those things. Having said that, there are plenty of LCD, LED Tv's that have great picture quality nowadays.
