Not doctored at all. Looks real good in person. :) Well worth the $99 at Borders.

$99 for a piece of junk from an overrated movie from an overpriced store is well worth it?

For a piece of junk? Yes it would be. But it isn't. :) And the retail price is $120, so whether or not the store is overpriced, the saber wasn't. Saved me a shipping fee too.

Honestly dude, I remember when I was twelve and I wanted all of that stuff but could never afford it. I always thought, I'll buy it all when I get older. I have yet to buy any of it, and not from lack of money.

The sabre is useless for anything aside from sabre fights and lighting things up, correct? Well, flashlights and colorful cellophane can be purchased for much less than $99, and unless you're ten years old I doubt you still swordfight. Therefore it is a useless piece of junk. And if I'm selling mass quantities of horse crap for $10/lb and lower it to for a discount $7.99/lb, does that save it from being overpriced?

Different strokes for different folks - to each is own. Folks there's no winner - or loser here. If the OP is happy, kudos to him. This is akin to bashing someone for a particular genre of music they may like. They may dislike or disagree with what YOU want/like. Get over it.

I'm glad the OP is happy with their lightsaber. :)

Frivolous maybe, but at least I have a use for them. Upgrading from a Kyro 4000 64MB to an ATi Radeon 9200 128MB may have been mostly minor, but it made a few games playable and is still useful to this day. That lightsabre may be used for a short period of time but it'll be headed straight for the closet within a week or two.

Lots of uses for them

lol, I saw that part where he cuts open a bagel and trims the plants with a lightsabre and wondered how he managed to sharpen it.

Hmm doesn't a green/red lightsaber indicate a Sith lord?

I thought that was the double-bladed red one.

Although they are rare, you will occasionally see a double-bladed lightsaber. There is no magic here -- it is simply two normal lightsabers mounted back-to-back in a single hilt.
The risk of personal injury is much higher with a double-bladed lightsaber, and their practical applications around the home are limited. Therefore, it is probably best to save your money and stick with the single-blade version.

lol

I agree. If the OP is happy while being an idiot, great!

Can I get a purple one used by Samuel L Jackson? I'd pay extra if it was signed:

"Samuel L Jackson: Bad Mother Fvcker" :D

Green > Blue > Red > Purple

I have to wonder if it's possible to "charge" a laser beam in a way that would make it react with another beam of differing state. In this way it would be possible to get some type of reaction when two beams intersect. Even a slight noise or a spark (!) would be awesome. Having the characteristic of a solid object such as a sword in the case of the sabre, however seems far fetched.

Unless of course if the aforementioned state could be immensely augmented. Then of course remains the sharp termination of the beam.

This is the board where people spend $1200 alone for their video card solution, only for such a setup to lose half it's value in a years time. Is $99 the end of the F*cking world? Did any of you have a child hood?

Whatever. *Swings lightsaber like an idiot*

I'm happy. :)

yeah, i'd love to see all of the purchases made by every member of this board and then laugh at them when i find something that someone might think is dorky, uncool, nerdy, etc. because you know some of the people who are laughing at op have pokemon dolls or buy backstreet boys cds when their 35 yr old males.
