From what I've read on them Since I got the Luke, they are made to contact with other Force FX's, but not most other objects. In addition, with each year and generation Master Replicas makes the poly carbon blades more durable. I think the Luke is a Gen 3, although Darth Maul came out just this year that is a 4.

For a piece of junk? Yes it would be. But it isn't. And the retail price is $120, so whether or not the store is overpriced, the saber wasn't. Saved me a shipping fee too.
