So I got my girl the ring today ... :)

So today I went and got my girl the ring 😀

A childhood buddy of mine's family owns http://www.booneandsons.com and I went and talked to his dad today. He told me to get there by 5pm if I wanted to pick a stone and mount it because the jeweler leaves at 6pm. So I rushed out of work early to go.

I ended up getting a 1.02 carrot princess cut and a platinum ring to put it on. I didn't have time to pick a very specific stone and a specific band and get it set on it because the jeweler had left for the day (which he had mistakenly told me he would be there later). However I didn't care. This one ring that I saw just stuck out so much that I just couldn't take my eyes off of it.

It was a little bit more than I wanted to spend, but he really REALLY brought the price down for me (considering I've known this guy since I was 7 years old), and he even knew it was out of my range and wasn't putting any pressure on me. Well it wasn't really OUT of my range but it was a little more than I wanted to spend.

Needless to say I ended up getting it and I am so very happy with it! It wasn't her size and was too small, so what he did was cut the bottom of it and stretched it out a little bit, then put a ring guard on it. When we get back he's going to fill in the bottom of it with more platinum. It's just that I was in a rush to get it since I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow at 7am to cancun.

My plan is to one day, not sure exactly when, is to ask her when we're on our balcony at our place. We're staying in a suite with an ocean front view, so I am going to just wait for the perfect moment probably and just do it there. I pretty much have the words already in my mouth that I want to say 🙂

I would take pics of it but she's coming home any minute and I don't want her to see me snapping pics or looking at a ring on the screen. I'll show pics of it when I get back from vacation!

Man it's so hard for me to not say anything to her though lol, I Just want to tell everyone!

Yah what my plan is when we are out on the balcony one time, preferrably when we're getting ready to go out and she comes out lookin all nice and shit, and there is a spectacular view, to be like "man look how beautiful that is ... there is no one else I'd rather be here with right now than you" and she'll say something like "yah me too mi amor" and I'll then be like "and that's why I wanted to ask you something ... (get down on the knee and break it out of my pocket) ... Daysi, will you be my wife?"

But it's something in that general vicinity I'm thinking about, not definitely that or anything.

Why not the beach...or take her to a restaurant on the beach and have them slip it in the biggest empty clam shell they can find and when she opens it...wallah.

Things are cliche for a reason. And, she won't care if they are when she tells her friends.
