We're serious too.......benchmarks??

Side note, you're having the top of the line, there's nothing out there that would beable to stress it yet. You pay for getting the best though.

Hopefully you have a real use for it?

Assuming you bought it to play games more smoothly or do video encoding faster, I'd go do a bunch of either of those. That's always what makes me feel "fulfilled" about a system upgrade. If you just bought the fancy processor to have it, then you should feel empty :p

You feel empty because....

- you realise the old system was quite fast?
- the FX 51 isn't all that quick considering the price?

Been there, tired of it. My tip: more time between upgrades.
Top-of-the-line nowadays isn't all that much quicker.

Box it up and send it to me, I'll send you my computer. It's fast enough for you I think. :) (specs in sig)

I've had my FX since october... and i sure as hell dont feel "empty". I feel freakin powerful. :D

Whyd you buy an FX51 now, though? It's still the same price as it was a couple months ago, but the FX53 is a whole lot closer to being released.

Hey, i received mine about a month ago, i had a p4 2.4 , geforce 4600 ti, 756mb ram, and to tell you the truth, i love this thing!! i sense most of the differences around game load times, frame rates, and outright visual graphic wonderfulness. yes, it's quite the price to pay, but the way i look at it, it's about $1k/year ammortized over 2.5yrs until the next one i build. it's a hobby, i like it, and to be frank, could care less what others think as to price/performance relative value. i'm the one working and making the money, not anyone else. of course, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Have fun with the new machine and don't sweat it!!
