dismantle one and make it into a portable picture frame running some flavor of linux (w/o X11), svgalib, and zgv 😀

I have another presario, a 1245 333mhz, that I tried to repair today. The original owner mutilated it...I had to transplant various parts from another dead one to get it working and it still has major power issues...but it could be a candidate for some kind of franken-project 😛

Even better than my HP Pavilion 700mhz w/14" screen, 512mb, DVD, docking station, etc. I bought it for $265 and dropped a $100 hard drive into it.

Of course, the best deal is the brand new T41 that I'm getting for free. (Got promoted at work... Downside is that I have to give it back if I quit. 😛)

I just got very lucky and picked up a Toshiba 8100 (700mhz) 20 gig HD 256 ram w/dock for $100

My friends company was selling their older equipment. 🙂
 
Voodoo M355 here. They emailed me and said they could upgrade it to a Dothan now, but I don't have the money (just graduated/no job...)
 
That's exactly what i'm looking for too. Need to have something to be
