So I got carded at Walmart tonight

When did they start carding people to buy a can of compressed air at Walmart?

The register actually said is customer 18 or older. Ive never had this happen before, so maybe its a new policy.

Anyone have this happen before?

Oh well got my can of air, now its time to clean out this computer.

HOLY COW. same thing happened to me 2 night ago. The cashier chick was like "You over 18, right?" ... lol... she asked this when I had a beard that's probably longer than her ****** hair...
 
I swear it's policies like this that convinced my juvenile delinquent ass to commit my only ever acts of petty theft. What retarded policies....

If I was ever carded for anything other than cigars (classy shops dont card!), cigs or booze, I'd tell them where to stick it and just walk out.

The register notifies the cashier when ID must be checked for certain items, although I'm not sure if canned air is one of them..
 
Xiety that reminds me of one time I was at a restaurant.

I had a good 2 weeks worth of growth (which is quite a lot for me), and the elderly waitress asked me if I was 10. I just stared in disbelief and thought about saying that I was 9. Oh, BTW, I was 17/18 at the time.
 
Well, the worst part: I've grown out goatee and sideburns but no beard?!?! People out there are saying I'm 18 but I'm really 20. 🙁
 
You guys are all whiney azzholes. The cashiers have to do this and in most cases if an item like this is sold to a minor and actually caught by the authorities then the CASHIER gets fined. These low paid workers are simply covering their butt. Grow up and place the blame where it lies.....dumbass kids using items for purposes they were not intended for and lawyers.
 
yep, had this happen to me too buying compressed air. I also got carded for buying a permanent marker just last week at wal-mart. I understand the reasoning behind it but damn, I'm 34 years old. I shouldn't have to show my ID to buy this stuff. OH yeah, forgot. I also got carded at wally world last week trying to buy a bottle of fule injector cleaner. pfft, I dunno...maybe its gone too far.

Kill yourself. Its not illegal for an 11 year old to buy compressed air, aresol cans, lighter fluid, lighters, matches, zippos, flints, etc.... and yet drug stores across the nation think that they need to be the moral police and put an end to this THREAT.

I didn't mind that I was carded, I just thought it was strange to be carded for a can of air.
