And I'm actually working!!$@#%@#

I had a restore to complete on our datacenter servers... it was 1 million files - 65GB (some developer decided to hit "delete" on that folder... *sigh*). Needless to say, the restore took me about 28 hours from tape.

It completed successfully, and I got it up to date to 7/15, and now I was just going to throw the small incrementals into the mix and finish it up. Unfortunately, the backup server has to act all retarded, and now I'm sitting here actually working on fixing it. Just waiting on an index build now..

I really wanted to 'work from home' meaning that I'd finish my work in half the time, and then go out... never seems to work out that way :(

It's his server.. technically I'm not supposed to be responsible but when s*it hits the fan... they call the guy who can fix it :(

I can do that at work too... I can go in wearing jeans, tshirt, and a baseball cap too.. nobody cares about that stuff.

Just saves me 2 hours of commuting time for the day, that's about it.

So much paper-baggage in this thread...

And yeah, that's usually how 'working from home' works for me too.. :(

Thanks dude, I double checked all our 3 datacenters to see if all the backups are running fine.
