Kinda :)

The first time I saw one of those on a visit to Vancouver, I thought it was just some ricer who switched the badges out

Is there something about Canadian buying habits that make a rebadged Civic viable in the market?

I see potential with that car; it has better appointments then a Civic so an upgrade in engine/suspension would make for a nice, quick little car.

I was considering the tC as well and was set to buy it as my next car. Under $17,000 fully loaded. What more could you want. I liked the styling as well. Then I went to get my Celica serviced and while I was waiting, I sat in the silver tC they had in the showroom. The interior is cheap cheap cheap. The car has good fit. The doors give a resounding thump when closed. But the inside ... just is so cheap. Then I realized something. How did I expect a car that had that much, for that price, to be good at everything. Nothing is free. So that just got knocked off my list.
