WOW! This thing freaking ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had it running in via a standard cable outlet before, which was cool, but what i was really looking forward to was hooking it into my SA 8300 HD DVR attached to my 46" Toshiba DLP.
Well I hooked it up tonight and WOW, this ROCKS. I have full control over the DVR, can watch any of my recorded shows, set it to record shows, view the guide, watch any of the 300+ channels (inc. all the HBO and Cinemax), the IR Blaster is MUCH faster than i expected (on par with my REAL remote),
AND the best part... The box automatically downconverts all my HD content (either live or recorded) out the S-Video jack and plays it simultaneously in HD on my TV and in SD on my slingbox. So i can continue recording everything i want in HD, yet I can watch it just fine via the Sling... It really looks impossibly good.
Seriously, i havent been THIS impressed with something in a long while. It works and WOW does it work well...
BTW, i was able to remote login via Port 443 from the library (for those remembering my earlier thread)
