I woke up today thinking that it was going to be another boring day, but boy, was I wrong. My friend had just got back from a trip, and since he was in a happy mood, I decided to take advantage and ask him for the keys. He gave them to me without a second thought (friends don't let friends drive $40K cars) and so to my excitement, I jumped into the car and started her up.
The sound oozing out of the 3.5" exhaust was music to my ears. I'm actually not quite sure what other mods he has, but when I took it out for a spin, I could hear a filter/intake sucking in more and more air as I gradually pressed on the accelerator. Then, at 3.5kish, my head jerked back as the turbo came to full boost and before I knew it, I was at 5.5k rpm, which is when I shifted (I was taking it easy on the car), only to hear the "whoosh" of the stock recirc bov. I hit second, and slowly started getting on it again and at 5.5k, released the pedal to hear the bov exhale all of the excess boost. I did this for a while (people driving next to me were prob pissed since everyone had their window down) and although I had the urge to get on the highway and let her rip, my senses convinced me otherwise. All in all, it was a great experience and I recommend people to test it out. It's definately worth your time
.
Now, some of you guys prob have Z06's and such and won't think much about the story, but I'm used to driving a 1995 Nissan Sentra, which takes about 15 seconds to hit 60 mph...
