So I didn't think that it was possible to crush an egg with your hands

How could it not be possible!? :Q

Something about the shape of a spherical object and surface area/tension or something. Apparently my grip strength was enough. I was dying laughing, it came flying out in all directions.

From what I remember, it's supposed to be you can't crush it with a finger on both ends. But I doubt that's true.

I'd believe that one. Not gonna try it tho. 1 egg explosion is enough.

I couldn't do it.
My son couldn't do it.
3 days later after we tried, I told my wife it was impossible, but she thought it was a trick. I showed her I couldn't break it. She tried and I spent 20 minutes cleaning up egg from the ceiling and floor. 🙁

Sounds like a good trick.

yeah, that's the one. crushing the sides, of course it will shatter. The awesomeness and strength of an egg lies in the integrity created by the top and bottom.

You likely didn't apply perfectly even pressure on all sides, as your fingers don't have perfectly round contours.

I think it works better if you wrap your fingers around it as completely as possible and squeeze with your whole hand. If you just press it against your palm with the tips of your fingers it breaks easily. You have to make it so that the force is distributed evenly.

I believe it's: 'you can't break an egg by putting a half dozen in your pants an sitting on them.'

If you don't believe me try it.
