As the title says I had to scream "you fucking asshole" early during late morning as another resident in the Housing Office touch my phone screen while I was trying to save a contact for new number. Another case manager(and a boss) quickly step in and told us to step away and ask me what happen.

After I told him, he said I was well justified for doing so...

Do I lose it or what? Could I done better? I actully very rarely cuss at people let along call anyone nasty names... perhaps handled differently?

Thoughts?

A loud and firm "Please don't touch me" would have been just as good. It would declare to all around that you are not the aggressor in the situation and you just had your personal space violated. All people know when you scream "You fucking asshole" is that a fight seems about to start and they don't know who to blame.

Many times if you can make it through the day without taking a baseball bat to some assholes knees it counts as heroic self-restraint. A little screaming is nothing.

I feel like you're leaving out facts so yeah you probably lost it or are otherwise responsible for the chain of events that led to some random(probably not actually random) person touching your phone screen for some reason.

I don't think that I've ever sworn at someone in anger as an adult.

And I'm pretty fucking sweary.
when I was a child I didn't cuss at all much less at people. The reason I sworn at him is due to me trying to save an emergency contact and moment he touch the screen, it went back to the home screen.

I understand the story. I just find that swearing at people in anger doesn't really achieve a lot unless you are trying to start a fight. Did swearing at him make the emergency contact reenter itself into your phone? Did it make you feel calmer about the whole situation?

context is everything. who is the person. why did they touch your phone. these are important things in determining the appropriate reaction. if it was a random person who tripped and fell flailing their arms and just so happen to touch your phone on the way to face planting, then you overreacted. if it was a person who you know and have problems with and they were fucking with you, then you did not overreact. so yes, you are probably leaving out facts to influence the opinions in a way that is beneficial to you.

I'm not good at cursing. In 6th grade, Sister Euginia drilled into me "If you have curse, it just shows you're not intelligent enough to come up with the proper word to express yourself."

That kinda stuck with me. So, years later, this is literally how I sound when I try to curse:

Swearing actually comes from a different part of the brain than language. So sister euginia was wrong. If you curse its actually an outburst of emotion. Its got nothing to do with words and you can actually replace common swearwords with any words and use them in the same fashion. Hence why people just use less obscene versions and they still work for them.

Well I didn't curse the guy, just cuss him out.

Went to asda with a head full of coke.the para was 10 4 hours ago

Got my own natural version of coke, been dealing with a thing called Hypomania and well yeah fun. Almost 2 weeks and the best sleep was 4 hours once. Lost prob like 10 pounds as it just causes my body anxiety and with that lack of appetite. I had to stop my edibles for my back cause i am so wired indica BARELY calms me. Fun thing is this thing can last months.
