actually I feel kinda bad... she was a nice lady

you feel "kinda bad"..?

you must be one of those "sociopaths in business" we keep hearing so much about..

zero ability to empathize, callous disregard for the other's wellbeing, etc etc.

what do you want me to do? cry and be emotional? jeez life goes on.. in you cant do your job then you are fired, especially for clerical work!

I want you to work patiently with her, until she gets it right..

OR, give her a formal warning, then another formal warning, and then maybe CONSIDER firing her after the third mistake..

OR, acknowledge you are hopeless as a trainer, and get someone else in the company to do what you are incapable of doing yourself (i.e., train others)

people like you give management in business a bad name :|

just try to at least 'behave' like a real human being with feelings and emotionals and concern for others, k?

She was a temp.

so that means she doesn't need to pay the bills, she doesn't have feelings, and she can be treated like the replaceable business resource she really is?

yes.

now I seriously doubt if you ever worked before, how old are you?

everyone is replaceable in business.. including myself.. you are only as good as your work

keep making mistakes or underperform for your job then you are GONE, the company doesnt care if you have five mouths to feed, or a single person.. its all about business

What are you? The Incompentent Crusader? Stupid incompetent people NEED to be fired more often. Keeping them around and letting them continue to screw things up and waste company time only makes them think their behavior and performance is acceptable and prevents them from bettering themselves. Companies and businesses are not welfare organizations. Fire their asses. Maybe they will get a clue and try harder or go find a job that better suits their abilities. Over time the quality of the workforce would improve and companies would improve.

clerical workers do matter, they do help, but they ARE easily replaceable

and that is precisely what must change, imo. :) I advocate unfair dismissal laws, minimum wage laws, and so on. I do think it is terrible that your own sociopathic 'values' or ways of doing things are the norm within business.

Hopefully we'll see a class revolution soon, where people like you are slaughtered in your suits :) (jk)

And dumbasses like him don't realize that if they were running corporations and businesses it wouldn't be too long before they would cease to exist and no one would have any jobs due to their incompetence. Touchie feelie works great in a hippy commune but not in business.

what social causes are you referring to? your business operates in a community of people, & must conform to community standards (as set out in law). I think it is pretty reasonable for a community to set minimum wage laws, unfair dismissal laws, etc.

Actually in a hippie commune he'd have everyone starve to death rather than hurt the feeling of the incompetent moron who couldn't plant the crops correctly or preserve the harvest.

"Oh we can't fire Blossom Flower from canning duties just because she ruined the entire harvest of peaches! It would hurt her self-esteem! We'll let her can all the string beans, I know she'll do better!"

R.I.P. hippies, themroc27 killed you all!

You are more stupid than I had earlier imagined. The "social democracies" of Europe are in some serious trouble. Germany has an unemployment rate of ~20%.....boy that is really kicking the old US's arse now isn't it? I won't even get into things like large multinational corporations looking to divest in certain European countries to get away from the socialistic BS as I doubt you could understand what I was talking about.

It's not that you're not a "decent human being" -- rather, you are not "human" at all (in the same way that a serial killer is not human, i.e., you possess some of the key qualities of the people we call 'sociopaths'). There are many males like you in business, unfortunately.

you're rather defensive, aren't you? I wonder why you'd attach your personal identity to an economic or political theory, such that you are so deeply insecure (take it personally) or frightened when someone acknowledges supporting a system you oppose..

he is not defensive, just countering your laughable post of comparing us economy to the social democracies of europe, and he is correct that these so called social democracies are facing HUGE task of combating unemployment, extremely powerful unions, etc

if you think the unions in US are powerful, take a look at some european unions.. IIRC it is required by law to have someone from the union party to sit as a board director

these social factors that you favor are making european economys to be non competitive, ie everything is now outsourced to cheaper countries like china and india
