I think you almost certainly have more than one. Was the 'funk' coming from our newly dead friend? Or a place where one could have died in a wall cavity or something.

The funk is in the room in general. The mouse was killed out in the open. My fear is that we live next to the woods so more may come.

and I am just hungry.
I kinda want Subway.
there is one of those half a block away. I'm poor though, thanks to my RAM burning itself yesterday. The cafe is soooo far away too...guess its either ramen or lipton soup for me.

that would work too.... but i'm not driving all the way home to make soup
cost in gas would make the drive not worth while :p
its not far away, but still... :)

In college, knew a guy from Montana who caught a mouse in his room.

He skinned it and pinned the pelt outside his door near the bottom as a warning to other mice.

Sometimes mice and rats crawl out of the jungle to die around our house, its not pretty. The worst thing are the ants that then swarm the body.

To alleviate the funk you should probably open a window and flush the toilet.

Haha, he knew how to skin a mouse. What do they teach people over there in Montana? :D

Probably the same thing they teach us here in the bayou.
:D

That's not such a bad idea...I might have to try that. At our current rate, mice/rats are eating one box of poison a week. That's alot of mice.

The guy also worked as a smoke jumper with the forest service during the summers and was used to skinning deer.

Nasty thing about spring traps is that if you don't get rid of the mouse right away, their skins tend to stick to the trap and peel off.

On a lighter note, wouldn't it be cool to skin a bunch of mice and make a small fur coat for a cat :)
