I have had a mouse for about two weeks in my house. Short end of the story, I went out last night and bought a snap trap and found my little friend dead this morning. They also leave some sort of wierd funk? Any ideas what it is??

whats really discusting is when you find a dead mouse under the sink that has been there for about 2 years and your boss makes you pick it up and it falls apart

yeah, pretty nasty.
it would be it's worst at about 1-2 weeks dead.
after that, not as much smell, and just gets hard and rots.
1-2 weeks dead it would freaking REEK.

strange. I cought a mouse last night too.. He was living in my garage and eating bird seed.. now he is not.
roomies found a mouse and proceeded to shoot it with a dart gun/set fire to it/freeze it/drown it/throw it out a 6 story window...
I think you almost certainly have more than one. Was the 'funk' coming from our newly dead friend? Or a place where one could have died in a wall cavity or something.
