Ok guys, here's the deal: I recently found out that I will be doing a little travelling soon for a new job. Being a huge gamer, I was hoping to put my laptop to use. I never really got into gaming on the laptop for obvious reasons and I am well aware of their limitations, particularly the integrated graphics. Here are the specs for my laptop:

Pentium Dual-core 2.2 ghz
4gb Ram
Intel 4500m Graphics

Now, I realize that this graphics chip is horrible. I dont need anyone to tell me this or that I need to upgrade to a new machine (I know I do, I just dont use a laptop enough to really warrant buying a new one and my travelling will only last a few months). What I am curious about is that I saw several videos on youtube of machines almost identical to mine running skyrim at decent framerates. Is this possible? Skyrim would be the main game I'd want to play.Does anyone know any modded drivers or other ways to go about making this game work on a system such as this? Has anyone with a similar system got it running at a playable rate?

What gives me hope (besides the youtube videos) is that I downloaded the demo for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and I am able to run it fine. I know all games are different, but does this mean I could probably run skyrim as well?

You'd probably have to crank down the resolution and the graphics settings to ridiculously low. Even then, not sure how smooth it would play. I want to say it's not possible but I'm not positive.

Not entirely comparable, but I tried playing Minecraft on a box with a GMA X4500 and unless I set view distance to tiny, it ran at about 20 or so fps.

If going for Kingdoms of Amalur/b, I hope your laptop has a internet connection. Even the demo wants you to connect (to EA servers) online for it.

I wouldn't even bother trying. Could you run it? Technically, yes. Could you run it well? Absolutely not.
