When I worked in retail (was still in high school), I got so conditioned to answering a phone, I'd automatically do it at home as well.

Me: Hello, welcome to <..>, how can I help you?
Friends: WTF?

A hu-man can be reached directly? Or was this after an automated menu system? But then if directly they most likely would have been in the store and less likely to answer with the wrong name. Perhaps it was an outsourced call center which handled both. Gee, the suspense is killing me.
