So I busted my friend's TV with a Wii-mote

So the other day, a bunch of us are playing Wii Sports (my first time), when all of the sudden, the wii-mote slips out of my hand, and smashes into my friend's 61" rear-projection TV. Internals look fine, but there is a huge crack on the lower left corner of the screen. I feel like an idiot cuz I should have used the strap, but sh!t happens I suppose.

Anyone have ideas on how much it would cost to fix?

Cost probobly about as much as the TV itself to fix...mihgt as well jsut buy him a replacement...sux to be you 😛

You know, if you did wear the strap the strap broke it'd be another "ZOMGZ WTFX0RS THE STRAP BROKE AND SMASHED INTO MY VERY EXPENSIVE TV" thread.

But since you didn't... um... yeah..
Although I think it's time for a new TV 😕...
Not good with TV solutions.

Well it's a rear-projection DLP TV, so the only thing that will need to be replaced is the outer screen I believe, and the inner layer if that is damaged.

Any where from $200 > for a screen / screen protector...

Your friend must be a cool dude as you are able to post ....😀

Yeah, I dunno how he remained so calm. If it were me, I prob would have flipped some sh!t for a lil before calming down.

i still can't figure out how people do this?

i own a wii and i've never felt like i would let go of the remote or that it would go flying out of my hand...

fixed it for you. , and alot of money

Well I was doing some research yesterday, and it seems most broken TVs have something in common: the bowling game. I guess it's a natural reaction to release when you throw. The earlier games played, we were much rowdier, and it turns out on the laid back bowling game is where the accident would occur. :\
