okay, those cooking directions usually refer to meat that has been defrosted/thawed. did u cook frozen chicken right out of bag?

the instructions said to do what i did assuming it was frozen.

alright i vomitted as much as i could... now we play the waiting game...

by the way i have had food poisoning before...3 days straight horrible...from raw eggs i think.

holy hell, making your self vomit, very intense.

umm... I ate that stuff before. I think the whole cooking thing is to insure that there's no bacteria in the stuff you consume. It's not particularly smart to eat pink chicken, but I'd say your chances of getting sick are slim. As a side note, stop buying frozen meat from costco. Really though. The ready to eat costco bagged stuff is nasty (even when cooked correctly) and not particularly cheap.

i'm sure it was the ham. Ham is pink you know, and Chicken Cordon Bleu does have a slice of Ham in it.

besides, those frozen chicken things are supposed to be fully cooked already. You just gotta heat it up in the oven to make it crispy and hot.

naw it's raw...there's a small notice on the back of the package warning about the handling of raw foods... i know the difference between ham and raw chicken :(.

Just wondering, when you cooked it, did you give enough time for the oven to heat up? If it says cook for 45 minutes, that's assuming the oven is already at temperature.

Too late to finish cooking when you already ate a whole one.

It's called "reading comprehension". Try it some time.

Read the underlined.

Now, tell me, what do you think that means?

It means he was one bite into the second one. Brutus was asking why he didn't throw that one back into the oven.

You lecture people on reading comprehension when you don't even practice it yourself?

YOU read it again. He was into his FIRST bite into his SECOND raw chicken surprise cordon bleu. What good would continuing to cook the second raw one do when he had already consumed the FIRST raw cordon bleu? It's a little to late to throw that first one back in the oven, no? Damage had already been done.

Sheesh!

not really. I've had the same experience with some similar variety of costco preprepared ready to cook crap. It's boiling hot on the outside, but then you bite into it and it's all jucy pink in the middle. Methinks the freezers @ costco use liquid nitrogen.

and when you bit into it was it hot or cold? sounds like what you bit into was cold, so, no, not really.

Kind of luke warm in the center. Certainly pink enough to justify throwing it into the garbage. This has happened enough times with a variety of devices, such that I seldom trust the recommened cooking times and always check the center before eating. I should reiterate that costco frozen meat sucks though. Stay away from that crap.

If those people haven't found food by now, it is their own fault. :D

Um, yah... why not throw it back in the oven? Then at least you could eat that one safely, or save it for later.

No use throwing it away.

Did it have instructions to thaw first? I'm guessing it needs to defrost before cooking for 45mins.

45minutes seems too quik in the oven to defrost and cook frozen chicken... especially at a temperature that isn't going to burn the outside and dry the crap out of it.

All that is unless it was precooked. You say it wasn't.

Also, You might want to get a thermometer and verify that your oven is getting to the right temperature, it may be faulty.

nope here's what the instructions were in the back

not in those exact words but something like:

conventional oven preheat 400 degrees
place item(FROZEN) into oven for 40-45 min

i remember for sure it had the parenthesis (FROZEN)...
