Welcome abord and feel free to use whichever client you wish. I started out using the GUI too like many here, but also like many the stats got to me and I had to switch.
Welcome to the TeAm FiveDoubleO. You are welcome no matter what client you use, but you might want to consider the CLI with Seti Driver and Setispy. You can see where the data is coming from with Setispy and see what the results of the analysis are.
I know I was pretty attached to the GUI version too. It was one of the main reasons I decided to install SETI in the first place. But, the competitive push of the team environment eventually persuaded me to change over.
<< I am going to stick with the GUI for Seti.... i just like the purdy colors and see whats going on here and there
a little slower but hey! >>
I used to miss the GUI version after I switched to the CLI version. Then I found something even better. SETI Spy! I love the Sky Map feature, that shows a point on a star map where the data you are currently processing was received from. I have even taken the map and started trying to overlay all the WU locations onto one map, just to see where the clusters are.
