so last year i made a promotion and got +33%. i thought i was all hot shit.

i just found out - HR made a mistake. put the decimal in the wrong place. it was supposed to be 25%.

when they realized a month later, they tried to take it back, but my manager batted for me and said F NO.

so my next raise wont be as big. but ill take +8 last year.

How does a misplaced decimal make a 25% raise into a 33% raise?

Unless there's some underlying joke that I'm not catching, I'm not getting how a decimal point could cause that error either.

😕

Okay, you start with 33%. Now add the two 3s together and you get 6. Then divide by the 3 you started with and you get 2. Now 2 * 33 = 66. Take those 6s and add them, you get 12. Divide by 3 again, getting you 4. Then Multiple by 2 because I fucking said so. Subtract that value, 8, from 33% and you get 25%. L2math you fuckwits.

or you take the 33% and divide it by 3, which gives you 11. take the original 3's and multiply them and you get 9. put the 9 and 11 together and OMG OP IS A TERRORIST
