The best of all my school years by far.

Probably the same for me. (I'm a sophomore in college now, for reference)

I was taking several AP classes (6 that year, I believe - English, Spanish, Physics, Calc BC, Econ, Government), but to be honest, I didn't put in much work at all. Still graduated at the top of my class, still got a bunch of college credit. So many of my great memories from school are from that year.

In contrast, the past two years have been rather boring. I realize that I have no one to blame for it but myself, but I'm not particularly complaining...I could do things differently if I wanted.

I took:
Art
Psychology
Philosophy
English
Physics
Calculus

IIRC, senior year was not easier than my previous years in high school.

it was pretty easy...i only had to have 2 classes...the rest of the time i just goofed off pretty much...half the time i didnt show up in the morning, since the classes i needed were in the afternoon...my teachers liked me, so they would just mark me down as present 😀

ahh...fun times

junior year was definitely the toughest year of high school. senior year was probably the most fun.

class-wise, our only requirements were:
-min. 6 classes each semester
-1 full year of religion (could be broken up into a single year long course that was offered, or 2 semester-long electives that dealt with more unconventional topics... eastern religion, psychology and religion, bioethics, etc)
-1 full year of a language (part 2 of whatever language you took during junior year... freshman + sophomore years were devoted to latin 1+2. we had the option of starting out a foreign language in addition to latin during soph. year, but very few people chose it)

other than that, what you took was basically up to you. most senior classes were in the form of electives, usually only 1 semester long, that allowed you to study areas that interested you. I took 6 semester-long english courses (journalism, shakespeare, steinbeck, classical world lit, modern world lit, and american short stories), 2 semester-long art courses (composition, and painting), 2 semester-long religion courses (bioethics and psychology), and French 2.

I'll vote MEH, simply because i can't remember to much of year 11 and 12, between pot and sleeping, i'm surprised that i done as well as i did.

Easy as hell.. showed up 2nd period for Phys Ed, took "creative writing", and then statistics, and 2 social studies, then home. I ditched the max allowed for each class and basically didn't give a crap since I already had a full ride to college. Of course I threw that all away.

Dude, what the hell are you still doing in high school? Anyone with any brains would leave junior year and start college, that is if you have the opportunity to do something like Running Start in your state.

I should be in my senior year, but instead I'm finishing my first year of college right now. And its been easy as hell, I go to class once a week.

Hey numb-nuts, guess what. You see those classes called AP courses? Yea, those give you college credit.

Chem: A 4 gets you 4 college credits, and a 5 gets you 8 college credits
Econ: A 4 gets you 3 college credits
Calc BC: A 4 gets you 4 college credits, a 5 gets you 8 college credits.
French: A 4 gets you 4 college credits, a 5 gets you 6 college credits.

So let's see, that's anywhere from 15-25 college credits he can earn. Plus he gets to spend another year with his HS friends, and if he wanted to take credits on top of that at a community college, he could. Not to mention instead of paying $4000 for a year at CC, he only has to pay $75 per exam for those AP tests. Hmm, $4000 for 28-32 credits vs $300 for 15-25.

So before you call people idiots for staying in their Sr. year of HS, maybe think about it for a bit.

Planning to take Ap Calculus Ab, Chemistry Honors, AP English , Spanish 4 , Economics in my senior year..

I don't understand....$4000 a year at a CC? Try $800-$1500 with books per year (not semester) in many places. How about no more HS bullsh*t. No more mandatory classes. Classes that treat you like an adult. Classes you go to a few hours a day (either MWF, TT or all 5) or at night instead of all day every day. How about college girls/guys, having a real lunch where you want? How about 36 hours college credit and a year jump on graduating instead of farting about HS a final year finding a party where they'll have the magic beer or homecoming football games. Please.

Yes I skipped my senior year and went straight to college. Two totally different worlds.

If you dont go to an instate school, your CC credits dont mean sh1t. If you're applying to an ivy league or some other top tier, you're better off with good AP scores than an A at your local community college taking classes with other college rejects.

AP Chemistry, AP Physics, Calculus, AP Literature, Yearbook (2 periods), AP Research,

AP research? Is this a new AP course they have?

My senior year was awesome. AP Calc, AP Physics 2, advanced English, then other classes on top of that. Radio DJ in the mornings and sometimes after school. Football games, soccer, I had a blast.

It was the greatest year, I supposedly finished all my credits in Junior year and was supposed to graduate but because I didn't take SAT's and wasn't ready for college yet they gave me 3 classes. It was the best started at 10:30 ended at 12:45

Semester 1:

1H Independent Study (AKA come in to class about an hour ealy and surf the net)
2H TA Video producutions class (AKA surf the net about half the time the rest of the time BS with friends in class)
3H Goverment (grad requirement but pretty easy class
4th NONE
Lunch
5th Choir
6th Studio Productions 2 (only had to go twice a week)

Second Semester was the same just substitute International Relations for Goverment god that was an easy year 🙂
