So how the hell are you guys tonight?

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have no internet connection at my place of residence. I have one at work...but work sucks and I try to stay away from it as much as possible.

I'm at my buddy's house. Him and six other guys are playing Poker for $.50/ante. They are playing 222/727/low man down and other sh1t that I've never heard of before.

Which explains why I'm posting and not gambling. I'm not a gambling man at all, and these guys are sharks.

Each pot somehow winds up being about $50. Too rich for my blood.

I am enjoying his internet connection, however. He has a Dell 2440 (Ithink that's what it is...too dark to see) but it has XP Home, which sucks ass. I'm tempted to load W2K, which is a real OS on it........

So, how the hell are you tonight?

What's wrong with XP home? Works great for the average joe that doesn't want to configure every nook and cranny of their OS, and just wants something "that works."

Either way... as of last week I learned of the joy that is the 30 pack of Milaukee's Best for $10. So I'm rapidly turning that number 30 into something much less... like 2 or 0.

Doing well.

Drinking some beer and listening to some music.

Thinking of playing some UT in a little bit.

The wife and daughter are sleeping and I have to keep the noise level down and I wish I could crank the tunes MichaelD style.

We went to a festival tonight and I won 5 bucks in bingo so that is a plus since I played for free basically.

I have to get up with my daughter in the morning so I can't stay up too late like I would like to do.


Ask them to play Indian poker or 7 card draw, something kinda easy so you can get in on the action.

Actually, he's a Tier One nightmare. He's one of the few buds that I have that aren't Geeklike and L33T. He couldn't load an OS to save his life. Which is why he's special to me. (no gay comments, please)

He's a good guy. Family man. Two kids, two dogs, two cats...oh yeah...and a wife. Gotta throw that in there.

Of course, being that tonight is "Guy Night" she took the kids to the movies, walked in three hours later, saw "men" still there and went

. Whatever.

She's a good woman, but I"m so glad I'm not married.

Poker Night is my buddy's reason for living. To each his own. This is what makes him happy. I'm glad that he let's me be a part of his world. H'e s a good guy.

He's got good kids too. Girl is 13, boy is 14. They are both good kids. I show them how to get around their profile in XP and change what they want.

It's a bitch trying to teach MMC to a 13 year old.

I tell you; as someone who has/has had his vices, I'm glad that gambling was never one of them.

Even though they are anteing (sp?) $.50/hand, the pot quickly gets above $50.00 and tempers flare.


The fact that there are eight people here that are drinking and enough alcohol to get 88 people bombed has "just a little" to do w/it.

Tempers are just beginning to flare; in a calm kind of way. They play until 0200; we'll see what happens.
