LA County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has announced that a new report shows illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $35 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in July.
THIRTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS IN TWO MONTHS!
Just for Los Angeles! Now multiply that by all the major cities with large illegal immigrant populations, factor in all the smaller cities, and you might just understand the problem. They are here not only because we don't throw them out but because we give them money for simply being here.
Yet people want to persecute businesses while forgiving government largess (how nice, its okay for them to take your money by seizure and give it to illegals but some get upset when a private employer pays them to do work).
Oh, some people are fighting back
The phone calls started pouring in at Irving City Hall on Thursday morning. They were prompted by activists who implored a crowd of more than 1,000 people at a rally Wednesday night to call for an end to a program that turns over arrested illegal immigrants to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. But most callers weren't asking for an end to the program ? they were voicing their support.
but labor unions are fighting going after illegals, I guess unions are desperate for members
The AFL-CIO and local labor groups requested the hearing for a preliminary injunction to block enforcement of a new homeland security department rule aimed at getting employers to aid in removing illegal immigrants from the workforce.
