So, how long does Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra last? (Delid)

I've heard everything from this stuff hardening up and losing its ability to transfer heat to it being fine over a year later.

This weekend I want to delid my 4770K and I bought a tube of the Ultra stuff. Am I going to have to reapply this stuff a year from now? 6 months from now?

I think its supposed to harden because its 'liquid metal'. Haven't heard about it losing performance over time, because it shouldn't having so much metal and all.

I've seen some people on forums say after about a year the stuff begins to "break down".

My theory is Galvanic corrosion and possibly oxidation play a factor in this.

I haven't had any issues/degradation so far with CLU - it's been a little over a year, and I haven't touched it. Currently residing between a lapped Noctua nh-d14 and lapped 2500K.

I've been mounted bare-die with CL-U for about 9 months and if anything, temps are better than when I first installed it.

Ambient ~22-24c

Stock, Prime95 loaded (with AVX instructions):
51c highest core, 45c coldest core

4.6ghz, ~1.3v:
65c hottest core, 59c coldest core

My temps went down slightly over the course of the first 1.5 months, then they seem to have stabilized (2.5 months since delid). That's with CLP, though.
