IMO, you should balance your pessimism with some realism and realize that government does some things that need to be done, things that nobody else can or wants to do. A lot of things have been tried, things that government used to do, trying to accomplish the same things privately. So many times, those experiments have failed. Like it or not, government is in your future.

It's been a lame winter so far. I want some snow. To add insult to injury, I haven't been able to make snow on my desktop. I haven't put a huge amount of effort in, but I can't believe I'm the only one in the world who likes dumb crap like that. Seems there should be something ready made.
