wtf im only lvl 5 and beat the main quest and im the grand champion of the arena whats the deal?

Um the main quest is less than 1/16 of the game...
the game is over 220 Hours + long...

if you rushed through the main quest you missed nearly all fo the game...
there are literally 1000s of quests in the game..

im so far..
grand master of the arena
murderer in dark brotherhood
apprentice in mage guild
recruit or whatever in fighters guild..
Blade
member of the vampire slayer guild (forget exact name)
Thieves guild pick pocket...
and Im level 10..
with over 50 hours in..

and I cant tell you how many quests ive turned down..
play the game not the main story..
its very rewarding..

Heh, I'm only Lvl 2 after 10 hours of play. The only thing I've done in the main storyline is take the amulet to the priory. I've been just wandering around and crawling the dungeons I've found. I haven't figured out alchemy yet and keep pissing off the guards. I had to spend 110 days in jail for stealing a horse and then killing about 10 people who tried to bust me for it.

I don't understand why some people feel the need to set a land speed record for beating the game. Blazing thru it in 8 hours with cheats isn't "playing" the game and getting the experience. I'd hate to hear what players like this are like in the sack (if they had girlfriends, that is.) "BAM!!! There ya go honey. Busted my nut in 32 seconds." "Gee, thanks, Mr. Oblivion." I'm level 13- totally uninterested in persuing the main quest. I've just been wokring on some quests to get into the mage's guild and the thieves guild quest. Besides that I've been breaking into homes/shops and trying to steal alot of stuff. Have fenced over 12,000 gold in goods. Have about 19,000 gold total right now but only own the shack on the Waterfront. Not too interested in buying a better house yet. Would like to explore some more dungeons to try and find some nice artifacts now. I'm still wearing chainmail armor but I have a nice magic dwarven longsword I looted off some marauder.

kill everything.. go to top of towers and remove the stone..
gate closes and you = hero..

Which home/shop has the most to loot? I've only heavily looted imperial market district and Bruma still haven't looted over 4000 yet.

I had to make a new character because my first got too high on alchemy and couldn't kill anything, and my current one is a vampire, very nice for abilities and stats, but a pita otherwise, I'll probably stick with it though. Currently one number two of 4 for the gate for martin.

I pretty much looted the entire town of Bruma. I grab silverware, books, armor and weapons... I nearly pick places clean! The most fun though is robbing the castles. Its a real challenge to sneak into the Count/Countess bedrooms and rob them. It doesn't really pay though, it's not like they have great tresures but it's just fun to get past the guards
