You need a third option for "style" ... something between the two. Most fps's nowadays allow for both AND a combination of the two.

my brother uses it, but hes 15 and his hands are smaller than mine. i use
W - forward
S - backward
Q - strafe left
E - strafe right

i map A and D to turn, but usually use the mouse for that and may only use them a little if im circle strafing someone; which i dont like to do.

i use numbers to select weapons if im plaing something like hl2 where you have 6 or 8 of them. when i just switch between 2 or 3 (red orchestra or enemy territory for example) i use the wheel.
