When Fitz peaks, he's great.
But when he throws picks. They come in bunches. That's why he is where he is. His streak was going to run out eventually because he just can't see that lurking defender.
Mitchell True-bust-sky with a fumble that leads to a GB TD.
THIS GAME suckS.
I have no interest in watching Fins games (or the AFC East in general), but Fitz has put up strong numbers this season. Unless something weird is going on (such as Fitzmagic only in garbage time), it didn't make sense to hand the reins off to Tua in the heat of a playoff push. This has nothing to do with who the long-term solution is, but whether the Dolphins are trying to qualify for the playoffs and perhaps even win a game. When Fitz peaks, he's great.

Fitzpatrick wasn't really performing above what he has always done in his career. He threw two picks against the Jets but because the Jets are so pathetic, they were still shutout.I have no interest in watching Fins games (or the AFC East in general), but Fitz has put up strong numbers this season. According to ESPN.com, Fitz has a top-11 QBR and a respectable 93 QB rating so far. Sure, he can fall off the wagon at any point but he's given them good production across his starts. Tua had 2 strong starts, and 2 poor games before getting injured. It seems like both guys are decent enough this season, but HC Flores should pick whoever gives them the best chance of winning.
You get your centuries mixed up? Strangely I had to look it up to make sure, but the 2000 Ravens' game manager was Trent Dilfer.Fitzpatrick = 2020 version of Steve DeBerg.
I could see him possibly "managing" a defense/team like DeBerg's 2000 Ravens to a championship but if he has to carry the team it's not going to happen.
That's no knock on Fitz though ... IMO he is playing above expectations.

As for Fitz, let's not get too carried away. The Fins' goal this season is to make the playoffs (best case scenario, by winning the division). If he's playing above expectations, you ride him until the first regression. I don't think handing off to a rookie is the right time for a change, although so far it's worked out for them in the standings. And having two adequate options (in case of injury) is obviously better than having just one. And if the Fins' plan all along was to switch to Tua after about 6 games holding a clipboard, then I'm okay with that.
He's Harvard's Rex Grossman. A proto-Jameis.Fitzpatrick = 2020 version of Trent Dilfer. (whoops)

if the giants and (former) redskins are tied at 4-7, then why are the giants listed 1st?
Yeah, half of the Giants' wins are against Washington.Probably have tie breakers over them.
Probably have tie breakers over them.
My buddy, who is a lifelong Cowboys fan, wants them to lose all their remaining games and draft a QB prospect. He doesn't want Jerry to pay Dak Prescott $40M per year, on average. The irony of this season is that Dak's value arguably went up after his season-ending injury.Correct.
NFC East is the "I don't want it you can have it" division this season.![]()
They just need to put in a rule that if you are under 500 you don't make the playoffs. Give a real team a shot from another division.
WFT and Steelers game moved to Monday at 4:30pm.
This shit is so stupid. The Ravens should have just fucking had to forfeit and they should have moved on with it. Changing up all these games is a hassle for the other teams that have NOTHING to do with it.
Like the Steelers and WFT had nothing to do with the dumbass Ravens players not being able to keep themselves safe and now they are playing on Monday at 4:30pm.
Funny how they made the Broncos play with no quarterback and they are bending over backwards to make sure the Ravens/Steelers game goes off as normal as it can.I agree completely in principle ... but still happy to have a game later!
(even though I'm expecting the Steelers to wipe the field with RGIII)
