so, have you? how was the experience. i'm bored and responded to one just now. will post my own experience if something comes out of it.
 
Everyone I've ever met via personal ads on CL has turned out to be a major freak. One guy I almost went on a date with turned out to be older than he said he was (said he was 25, was actually 30) and was already in a relationship. (Man, "open relationships" give me the creeps.)

On the other hand, some of the people I've met in the "Strictly Platonic" section have ended up being pretty cool.
 
Good luck. You probably need to respond to like 100 before one replies back. Any girl no matter how fat or ugly even gets like 100 emails a day (seriously). It's pathetic. Gives women the biggest attitudes and ego's ever. They dont deserve that much attention. The average looking girl gets some guy thats way out of her league and she thinks she's all that.

That being said I've written to some on there a few times just being bored. I got a couple replies back from attractive women that were really interested. I never went through with it though or anything. And most the people on craiglist are freaking wierdos. Honestly your best bet is Myspace or a real personals site.

I've never done anything on craigslist, and personal ads where you meet a stranger just scare the hell out of me. I'd rather see/meet her first before I ask her out
 
i dont know what to make of craigslist.

i know that women on there get close to a hundred emails for every post.
why is it like this on craigslist? is this true with the dating sites on the internet in general? or just craigslist?

i got bored 1 night and answered a post. this was before they had the ability to post pictures or when posting a picture was uncommon.

no reply, no date, no meeting. i left it at that.

i like browsing the personal sections to look at the pictures of people posting. it's like sitting at the park and people watching.

I'm fairly certain that those places are only for "voluptuous" "thick and sexy" "BBW"s with "meat on their bones." So as long as you cram your finger down your throat with some regularity, you should be able to stay off there.

I posted one once, and ended up hanging out (coffee, park etc) with this girl a few times. She was pretty nice, unfortunately we live in different cities, so I kinda lost contact...

never have bothered to try any of those, but I know people who have done the online thing. One of my former collegues met her fiance online... and I would never have thunk it because she was quite attractive and seemingly outgoing.

granted... I've also seen the bad happen.. heh. I'll just stick to being broke and single instead for now.

i dont see how any men can expect to find a woman online. there are so many men on dating sites, and so few women, that its frickin impossible to get a woman's attention. seriously, many women get about 10-50 emails per day.
for a man, he is lucky if he can get more than 5.
