They still make those? I thought they went the way of the Dodo.

I was at a car show a week or two ago, the new Jeeps look exactly like Hummers. They're not quite obnoxious or large enough, but you wouldn't notice in passing.

So have gas prices gone up for you?

Just drove by my local station. The place raised it's price of 87 octane by $0.18. It's back over $2 a gallon here.

Sure, the price of crude is up a bit but retailers are sure to be quick to raise those prices ...

Went as low as $1.79 but now around $2.50 and climbing fast

OPEC Oil minister is calling for $200 oil.

Oil went from $45 to $50 yesterday and already up to $53 today.

$200 oil should translate to $8 to $10 gas depending on your area.

The poor southern states will be the $8 range, the northern states will be $10 or higher.

OPEC sees oil prices exploding to $200 a barrel

OPEC's Secretary-General Abdulla al-Badri sees a real possibility that oil prices could explode higher to upwards of $200 per barrel

OPEC's plan pushed for lower oil prices so it could control market share once oil prices surged in the future.

$1.89 here, from $1.75 yesterday.

Meh. Once it breaks $5 I'll be annoyed. If OPEC pushes it to $200/barrel they're not going to be selling any here because we can produce it for (much) less, and poor countries won't be able to afford it.

Your schtick gets old after a while.

Pretty sure that by your calculations gas was supposed to be that high like 5 years ago or something.

A reasonable, thought out rebuttal? Pretty sure that makes you a corporate peon for the oil industry, scumbag.

Good thing I filled my backyard pool with gasoline while it was low. I'm set. :p

PS no surprise. Knew they'd rocket up as soon as a mention of oil prices going up would happen. What is great is how when it is high they try to tell everyone it has little impact on how gas is priced. Riight. Oil companies and the people who speculate on them are such scum.

Did the oil companies hire someone to start another war? That didn't take long...

Yep, sure did. This is how it looked over the last few days:
1.89 -> 2.25 -> 2.19 -> 2.39

$0.50 or 25% up in less than a week. Ouch. Although still not as bad as forking over $4.50+ a gallon a few years back.

it takes about 1 week for price moves to be reflected in refined fuel

Now you've got this fecking retard started. :\

"$2.50 and climbing fast", eh? Damn, you're a pathological liar, even in your own city it's a $2.19 average, with $2.08 being the average for the entire USA.

Have they ever diagnosed exactly WTF is wrong with you?

Filled up last night. 93 went from ~$2.25 to ~$2.60.
Oh well, I typically only use just 1.5 tanks a month anyway.

It jumped $.40 in a couple hours for me yesterday. Left the house on nearly empty, was running late so didn't stop on way out. Gas was $2.04. Got lunch, did some errands and came back and it was up $2.44 a couple hours later.

Up 0.42 in the past two weeks here.

I love the GasBuddy App, though. They have a setting that can alert you about price spikes that isn't 100%, but I can usually fill up before the raise hits. It's the only push notification that I allow on my phone.
