I have DFI Lanparty board with USB keyboard... When i try to install windows and try to boot from the Windows CD, it gives "Press Any Key to Boot From CD...." and my keyboard does not work... it works to go into bios.. but it does not work in choosing the "safe mode" menu either... any way to solve this?!?!

i'd like to know also. luckily i have a ps2 kyb laying around still but i'd like to get just use my main keyboard if possible.

use an older keyboard. I'm going through a similar thing with a usb mouse when rebuilding an Asus A7M266 board. I have to use one of those usb adapter things.

I think i found the solution...
You can Enable the USB Keyboard Support in your BIOS...

i'm pretty sure i already did that and the keyboard still wouldn't work.

Is there a PS/2 port on the mobo? If so, and you are in love with the KB then use a USB to PS/2 adapter.

Look in the BIOS for something like "USB legacy support." It's not necessarily the same as the regular USB support (it may also not be available on every board, I don't know...). My understanding is that it basically dumbs down USB input so that very simple programs that run before the real OS is loaded can still understand the input.

I think i read somewhere that the USB doesnt recieve power until Windows loads, so the keyboard has no power during bootup.
