Just cant seem to get an absolute answer.
Heres what i got last night between the BS:
If you're getting poor framerates, that means your graphics card cant run well at the lcd's native resolution. This has nothing to do with the lcd itself.
Ya a 6600gt cant really keep up at resolutions 1280x1024 and above due to its 128bit memory interface, and I believe the native resolution of that lcd is 1280x1024.
Starting to wonder if this is a serious post, but anyways...
Disregard the hz thing.
You bought a 19 inch lcd with a native resolution of 1280x1024. To put it simply, if you run at any other resolution than that, the picture will look more distorted and ghosting will be more apparent.
So you have a few options:
1) Turn down the details in your games to compensate for the increased resolution.
2) Return your 19 inch lcd and buy a 17 inch, which has a native resolution of 1024x768.
3) Upgrade your graphics card.
HatefluX, I dont think you're quite understanding what is being said here. Put simply - your monitor runs natively at a higher resolution. You cant lower the res, because it will distort the picture. Due to it running a higher resolution, there's more work for your video card, and it cant keep up.
You'll have to get a better video card, or drop your other details to reduce the workload on the video card.
Make sure you're not running aa/af or anything that you might have run before. Snoop around your nvidia driver tab and check to see that it's on performance rather than quality. Every little bit makes a difference.
I don't think people are putting you down they're just trying to help. If you take it the wrong way, oh well.
